There will be a Spring Vendor Show, Saturday April 9th at the Garrison Fire Station from 10am -2pm.

Iowa State Fair Grandstand Tickets On Sale April 30
Tickets for the much-anticipated 2011 Iowa State Fair Grandstand shows go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 30 through all Ticketmaster outlets. The 2011 line-up is presented by U.S. Cellular.
Grammy Award winners from many genres lead the star-studded line-up. Country music legend REBA has garnered two Grammy's in her long career.
BCECI Child Development Fair coming April 13th
The Benton County Early Childhood Iowa Child Development Fair will be held Wednesday, April 13th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Vinton Skate and Recreation Center.

PEO MZ to meet
PEO Chap ter MZ will meet at 1:30 PM on Monday, April 11, at the home of Marilyn Mehlhaus assisted by Kae Santman. The program will be presented by Kae Santman. Meet at 1:00 to car pool.
Vinton dancers look forward to annual Square Dancing Convention
Troy and Margaret Krug of Vinton have been square dancing for more than 30 years, and are hoping more dancers will join them.
The 49th Iowa State Square Dance Convention takes place this weekend. Margaret hopes the event will inspire new square dancers, and re-inspire former dancers.
Donkey basketball comes to Vinton tonight
Dollars for Scholars will present Donkey Basketball at the V/S Middle School Gymnasium on Saturday, April 2.
Teams of local residents will attempt to ride comically trained donkeys in a quest to become the DFS dribbling champions of 2011.
